Three years ago, almost to the day, we crossed paths for the first time. Back then, neither of us thought we would have such a complex, rich story. Back then, we were young and high off the wonders of adult life for the very first time. I've found that nothing but getting to spend time with you can bring that feeling back. There's something about your laugh, your smile, and the way we converse that fills the air with the same hope that gave me the courage to even break the ice with you in the first place.
Emily, never stop being the girl that breathes life into the world around her. Never stop being the light in the dark of adulthood. As you step into a new chapter, bring with it the same dreams you brought in tow to Fayetteville three years ago.
